1. Don’t Pick

Some people are prone to summer breakouts, especially as Utah’s weather gets hotter and drier, causing irritation to the skin. Picking is tempting, but it’s the easiest way to draw MORE attention to your breakout, as well as spread the bacteria and cause scars. So if you want to rock a natural no-makeup look, don’t pick your pimples.

2. Don’t Rub

If you are going without eye makeup for the day, it’s important to avoid rubbing your eyes. This can make them red and irritated, and will end up making you look more tired and faded over the course of the day, which eye makeup normally would have hid.

3. Avoid Excessive Caffeine

Personally, I love myself a good cup of Chai, or a Red Bull. But when you want to bare your skin, caffeine tends to affect it’s natural glowy state. So avoid it on your no-makeup days if at all possible!

4. Do Sleep

Getting 7-8 hours of uninterrupted sleep will work wonders for your skin. A good night of rest is necessary before a no-makeup day.

5. Sunscreen

Just because you are baring your beautiful skin, doesn’t mean you can skip the sunscreen! Especially not here in Utah. So make sure to put a coat of at least SPF 30 before heading out for another beautiful day!
